7:20 PM: Discussion on Meeting Organization

Dawson/Rimbos: Concerns were expressed that meetings run too long and business doesn’t get adequately discussed. It was decided that members need to carefully consider time issues in discussion, be on task and on topic. Members also need to not interrupt other members or speakers. We agreed that we would warn those intruding on others' time. We agreed we would do our best to stay to the agenda schedule.

7:30 PM: Model Train Show Report

Steve Hiester: Approximately 1,000 people attended this year’s train show. All expenses will be paid through the show receipts. There will be a problem with next year’s train show as the facility has been changed and may not be available.

7:45 PM: Status on Land Use and Transportation Subcommittee

Peter Rimbos: The area council received the King County Comp Plan at the October meeting. The committees have divided and assigned the document to sub teams to make a detailed review of the draft plan. Evaluation matrixes and comment forms are be developed for distribution to members and ultimate placing on our website.

8:10 PM: Final Instructions and Preparations for GMVAC Election November 6 at regular polls for unincorporated area voters within the Tahoma School District

Chairman Bonewits outlined policies and procedures for conducting the area survey in this year’s election. Care was to be made that only eligible voters from the unincorporated area in the Tahoma School District would vote. Arrangement for Provisional Balloting we outlined. Balloting materials were distributed with the caution to guard security.
