December 3 and 10, 2007, Meeting Minutes
7:00 PM: Call to Order Pledge of Allegiance Roll Call: Members present: Claudia Brisendine, Les Dawson, Susan Dawson, Kevin Daoust, Dave Fields, Eric Harris, Steve Hiester, John Huson, Warren Iverson, Gordon Moorman, Rob Morris, Peter Rimbos, and Beverly Tonda. Members absent: Richard Bonewits, Patrick Seiver. Guests: Don Butler, Mike Tonda, Julie Downs, Tony Flaherty, Marissa Alegna, Dave Germani, Larry Fay, Greg Bishop, and Ron Iverson.

7:10 PM: Discussion of On-Site Sewage Systems - Larry Fay and Greg Bishop This is the year to make major policy recommendations for the Title 13, Wastewater Program on-site sewage systems. A Technical Advisory Committee comprised of representatives from the Unincorporated Area Councils (including our Area Council’s Chair, Dick Bonewits), Board of Realtors, and Master Builders. The last update to this Title 13 program was in 1999 to implement regulations from 1995.
8:25 PM: Election Results Hobart Area: 232 ballots Iverson 188 Rimbos 142. Ravensdale Area: 197 ballots Moorman 89. River Heights Area: 94 ballots S. Dawson 57. Second position to be drawn from 6 Write in votes from 5 individuals (Eligibility of write-in voters is not yet reviewed). Francis Area: 120 ballots Bonewits 32 Hiester 35 Tonda 38.
8:30 PM: Status/Discussion on Land Use and Transportation Subcommittees’ Proposed Changes to King County Comprehensive Plan - Peter Rimbos and Gordon Moorman In recent months, the Land Use and Transportation Committees have been meeting jointly discussing the proposed King County Comprehensive Plan, the document which steers all land-use and development in unincorporated King County. The committee had emailed detailed comments to all council members for their study. The entire council continued their discussion on December 10 to finalize all comments to the King County Council. Peter Rimbos and Les Dawson compiled all comments for the final document to be presented to the King County Council by December 28, 2007.
